Mind Changers

Where there is no vision, the people perish.  Proverbs 29:18

Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there may be equality. At the present time, your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality, as it is written: 'He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little.'   2 Corinthians 8:13-15

Energy and persistence will conquer all things.  Benjamin Franklin

Nil facile est; nil gratuit est. (Nothing is easy; nothing is free.)   Mike Ziemski, M.Ed.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts.  Sir Winston Churchill

It is time to recover our nerve and promote our schools for the 21st century. The current hospice mentality—watching our schools slowly die—must give way to a renewed confidence.  Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of NY (From 'The Catholic Schools We Need', America Magazine, 9.13.2010. Source: http://americamagazine.org/issue/747/article/catholic-schools-we-need)

It is important for States to guarantee 'the Church the freedom to establish and administer Catholic schools, affording parents the opportunity to choose a means of education that fosters the Christian formation of their children. Indeed, a solid education that nourishes all the dimensions of the human person, including the religious and spiritual, is in the interest of both Church and State. In this way, young people can acquire habits that will enable them to embrace their civic duties as they enter adulthood.  Benedict XVI (2007)

We cannot solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.  Albert Einstein

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.  Romans 12:2

Nothing is so commonplace as to wish to be remarkable.
Oliver Wendell Holmes
