Remember the old Yellow Pages jingle? (‘Let your fingers do the walking through the Yellow Pages.”)

Fast forward to today, and let your school do the talking – especially during the summer!

This idea comes from St. Clement Regional Catholic School in Saratoga Springs, New York.

When parents drive up, they’re encouraged to tune their car radios to a particular frequency to hear important messages while their waiting to pick their children up or drop them off. It uses the technology of “The Talking House,” a concept used by realtors to tell prospective buyers about the house that they’re sitting in front of. If we can use this technology to find out about a house, why not use it to inform current parents, or, during the summer, help parents of prospective students find out more about your school when they’re driving by?

If you’d like more information, visit http://talkinghouse.com/.  It’s a great way to continue to keep marketing your school over the summer when there may not be many staff members around as there are during the school year.
